This Privacy Policy explains how Exam Streak ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the SSC PYQ mobile application (the "App").
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
If you sign in with Google: your name, email address, and profile picture, as provided by Google Sign-In.
If you continue as a Guest: we create an anonymous account tied to your device. No personal information is collected, but your progress is only saved on that device and is lost if you uninstall the app or clear its data — unless you later sign in with Google to save it permanently.
Usage & Learning Data
We collect information about how you use the App to power its core features, including: quiz attempts and answers, scores and accuracy, XP and streak history, bookmarks, mistake history, and your selected target exam and daily study goal.
Device & Notification Data
If you enable notifications, we store a device push notification token so we can send you reminders (such as streak or practice reminders). We do not collect this if notifications are disabled.
Advertising Data
The App displays ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect an advertising identifier and other technical data (such as device type and general location) to show and measure ads. We do not control this data directly — see Google's own privacy policy for details on how AdMob processes it.
Purchase Data
If you subscribe to Pro, purchase and subscription status information is processed by Google Play Billing and RevenueCat (our subscription management provider) to verify and manage your subscription. We do not directly store your payment card details — these are handled entirely by Google Play.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information above to: operate and maintain your account and progress, generate personalized practice recommendations and track your accuracy over time, send optional notifications you've enabled, process Pro subscription purchases and XP-based discount redemptions, display and measure advertising (for Free-tier users), and maintain and improve the App's reliability and features.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
3. Third-Party Services We Use
The App relies on the following third-party services, each with its own privacy practices:
Google Sign-In / Firebase — authentication and push notification delivery
Supabase — our backend database and authentication infrastructure
Google AdMob — advertising
RevenueCat and Google Play Billing — subscription management and payments
We encourage you to review these providers' own privacy policies for details on their data practices.
4. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely using industry-standard practices, including encrypted connections and access controls that ensure you can only access your own data. While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.
5. Children's Privacy
The App is intended for users preparing for SSC exams and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
6. Your Rights & Choices
Guest users: your data exists only on your device. Uninstalling the App or clearing its data will permanently delete it, unless you've signed in with Google.
Registered users: you can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at the email below.
Advertising: you can opt out of personalized advertising through your device's ad settings (Settings → Google → Ads, on most Android devices).
Notifications: you can disable notifications at any time from within the App's Profile settings, or through your device's system notification settings.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account and usage data for as long as your account is active, to provide the App's core features (progress tracking, streaks, personalized recommendations). Guest account data that has been inactive for an extended period, and resolved Mistake Book entries older than 90 days, may be periodically removed.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
